Chemical Name: Iron titanium oxide
Chemical Formula: FeTiO3
A naturally mined iron titanium oxide mineral. It is generally black as sand, odorless, tasteless, opaque under a microscope, non-flammable and insoluble at 20 deg. C.
TiO2= 63.5 - 65.2%, Cr2O3= 0.07 - 0.12%, Fe2O3= 28 - 30.6% and MnO= 1.25 - 1.35%.
Nominal 30 X 270 mesh USS, 200 mesh by down and 325 mesh by down granulations available. Ilmenite can be supplied on a custom basis as small as a D50 Point of 1 micron.

Not Classified (IARC Group 3). In common with many naturally occurring mineral products, Ilmenite contains very low levels of naturally occurring radioactive elements- principally uranium and thorium. Please check with the Environmental Protection Agency toward it's TSCA status.
