- Colemanite Typical Applications:
Calcium-bearing borate is used by the non-sodium fiberglass industry, raw lead glazes, used in the manufacture of heat resistant glass, used as a cleaning agent, used as a low temperature flux which helps to prevent crazing, sometimes used as an opacifier, used as a substitute for calcium in glazes where a pink or red is desired and used in other small industrial, medicinal, and cosmetical applications.
