- Glass Flake & Glass Granules Designations:
Glass Composition: Borosilicate glass
1) MICROGLAS® Glass Flake: A borosilicate flake approximately 5 microns thick, with a nominal width of 10~4,000 microns. It has excellent anticorrosion characteristics in the fields of paint and lining. It is also used as a reinforcement for thermoplastics.
2) FLEKA® Granule: Made from untreated borosilicate glass flakes that are bonded together with a special binder and coupling agent.
1) C- Glass (%): Si02= 65~70, Al203= 2~6, Ca0= 4~9, Mg0= 0~5, B203= 2~7, Na20+K20= 9~13 and Zn0= 1~6
2) E-Glass (%): Si02= 52~56, Al203= 12~16, Ca0= 20~25, Mg0= 0~5, B203= 5~10, Na20+K20= 0.8 or less and Zn0= nil
Available as a MICROGLAS® flake or as a FLEKA® granule.
