Magnesium oxide heavy; Magnesium oxide light; FCC; Maglite; Calcined Brucite; Magnesium oxide; Irtran-5; Magnesium monoxide;, MgO, magnesia, periclase, magnesite

Reade Advanced Materials offers:
Magnesium Oxide
Designations:
Synonyms: MgO, magnesia, periclase, and magnesite
Chemical Formula: MgO
General Description:
Magnesium oxide (sometimes called magnesia) is formed commercially by heating magnesite to 600-800 deg. C, which drives off most of the CO2. It has good thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity at elevated temperatures
Magnesite- A mineral composed of MgCo3
Magnesite Grain- dead-burned magnesia in granular form in size suitable for refractory purposes
Seawater Magnesite- Dead-burned magnesia made by a chemical process using seawater or other solutions (brines)
Periclase- The high temperature form of magnesia
Nominal Chemical Properties Available:
Theoretical composition of magnesite: MgO= 47.8% and Co2= 52.2%
Pharmaceutical Grade: Must conform to the USP, JP, and BP specifications
Food Additive Grade: Must conform to the FCC specification
Single crystals, pieces, targets, and powder sized as fine as nanometers
