Essentially a natural mineralogical composite of natural zirconium oxide, hydrated zirconium oxide and zirconium silicate. Produced South Africa, the CIS, Ceylon, Brazil, Sweden and Montana.
Contains 65.0 to 75% Zr02, 10 to 14% Si02 and 3 to 5% other materials. Finished commercial grades are 99.3% Zr02 + Hf02. U308 and Th02 are sometimes naturally present.
Shipped primarily as a lump material or around 99% finer than 45 microns
