Chemical Name: Chromium carbide
Chemical Formula: Cr3C2
Extreme Hardness and excellent surface finish. They are usually formed by standard P/M techniques (cold pressing and Sintering).
Total Carbon= 13.0-13.5%, Iron= 0.5% max. Silicon= 0.05% max. and Calcium= 0.05% max.
READE offers various granulations available from lump material down to an APS of 1-5 microns
Chromium Carbide Powder Typical Applications:
Structural applications include bearings, seals, valve seats and orifices. Corrosion resistance makes them candidates for chemical equipment service.
