Reade Advanced Materials offers:

Glass Flake & Granule

Glass Composition: Borosilicate glass

MICROGLAS® Glass Flake: A borosilicate flake approximately 5 microns thick, with a nominal width of 10~4,000 microns. It has excellent anticorrosion characteristics in the fields of paint and lining. It is also used as a reinforcement for thermoplastics

FLEKA® Granule: Made from untreated borosilicate glass flakes that are bonded together with a special binder and coupling agent.

C- Glass (%): Si02= 65~70, Al203= 2~6, Ca0= 4~9, Mg0= 0~5, B203= 2~7, Na20+K20= 9~13 and Zn0= 1~6

E-Glass (%): Si02= 52~56, Al203= 12~16, Ca0= 20~25, Mg0= 0~5, B203= 5~10, Na20+K20= 0.8 or less and Zn0= nil

Available as a MICROGLAS® flake or as a FLEKA® granule.

FLEKA® Granule Average Particle Size (mm) 0.6 to 1.0
FLEKA® Granule Loss On Ignition (%) 0.6
MICROGLAS ® Flake Average Particle Size (microns) 15- 600
MICROGLAS® Flake Average Thickness (microns) 5 +-2
MICROGLAS® Flake Specific Gravity 2.52
MICROGLAS® Bulk Density (gr/cc) 0.20 ~ 0.75
MICROGLAS® Flake Loss on Ignition (%) ~0.15- 0.03

FLEKA® Granule: Precision parts for photocopiers, laser beam printers, facsimile machines, etc. Electrical and electronic parts such as connectors and sockets

MICROGLAS® Flake: A reinforcement for thermoplastics to reduce warpage, give high weld strength and impact strength, and to improve dimensional stability without discoloration. Provides corrosion resistance in the fields of paint and lining in chemical plants, marine construction & harbor facilities, petroleum tanks, pollution control facilities, plating metal industries, boiler & water tanks, food industries, transportation concerns, fishery concerns, and livestock concerns..

MICROGLAS® Flake and FLEKA® Granule are packed in water proof bags each containing 20 kgs. net
