Silicon Dioxide= 47.20%, Aluminum oxide= 21.39%, Titanium dioxide= 1.01%, Ferric Oxide= 19.23%, Calcium oxide= 6.80%, Magnesium Oxide= 1.47%, Potassium Oxide= 1.60% and Sodium Oxide= 0.62%

  • Black Beauty® Abrasive Grit Physical Grades Available:

1) Utility Grade: A coarse grade used for tough blasting jobs. Available only in certain regions of the USA

2) Medium Grade: Used for general purpose repair and maintenance blasting

3) Fine Grade: Used for new construction, light paint and rust removal, and for special maintenance applications requiring reduced profiles

4) Extra Fine Grade: Used to clean surfaces and create a smooth finish, Brush-Off Blast, or in a high pressure water blast System

5) Elite Grade: If your project requires a specialized blasting abrasive, we can help. Using our proprietary processes and superior blending capabilities, we can fine-tune your blasting abrasive to Elite Gradations.

  • Black Beauty® Abrasive Grit Typical Applications:

BLACK BEAUTY® blasting abrasive applications span a wide range of industries and applications to remove surface coatings and contaminants such as rust, paint and scale. It is used frequently as a sandblast abrasive on sea faring vessels, tanks, aggregate exposure, castings, structural steel, buildings, railroad equipment and bridges. BLACK BEAUTY® roofing granules can be found throughout the asphalt shingle, modified bitumen and foam urethane industries. Other uses for BLACK BEAUTY® coal slag products encompass water filtration, mineral filter media, sealcoat aggregates and nonskid coatings, to name a few.
